A New Casino is Coming to Bermuda

A casino is expected to open in Bermuda in the spring of 2021. The Island’s Gaming Commission granted the license to the St. Regis hotel 17 months ago. The casino is not yet open because it has to go through several operational processes before it can open. Though casinos were approved by parliament almost nine years ago, banks have been hesitant to offer financial support for these businesses.

The St. Regis Bermuda Resort is the newest addition to the island’s luxury hotel collection. The upscale, boutique property overlooks St. Catherine’s Bay and the 17th-century Fort St. Catherine. The swanky hotel has 120 guest rooms and 21 suites with marble bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the ocean or lush gardens. It also has a spa with personalized treatments and programs for younger guests.
